It is a year of special grace and forgiveness which offers the faithful the opportunity to obtain a plenary indulgence. Pope Francis declared that 2024 would be dedicated to prayer in preparation for the Jubilee. The Year of Prayer is, in the Pope's words, focused on “rediscovering the great value and absolute need for prayer, prayer in personal life, in the life of the Church, prayer in the world.” In order to promote the importance of the Jubilee year of the Church, the Daughters of St Paul took the initiative to reach out to the Hindi speaking migrants of St Ann’s Church, Mallapur.                                 All India United Christians Movement For Equal Rights (AIUCMER)       The All India United Christians Movement for Equal Rights organized an All India Consultation. The meeting began Saturday 26 th October at 3.30 pm at St. Patrick’s high School, Secunderabad. The main person for the meeting was Bro. Jose Daniel, of Montfort Brothers, who has long years of working experience in this Association.   Bro. Jose was chairing the meeting while Sr. Manju C.M. was Co-ordinating the whole programme. There were various eminent speakers speaking on various topics and how the problem of the equal rights for the dalit Christians is pending on over many years.   Vocation Work at Nalla Jerla in Andhra Pradesh. At the request of Fr Anthony a Cleritian priest   Srs Tara and Nancy set out for vocation work to Nalla Jerla a village situated in Eluru.   This parish is run by the Claretian fathers. This parish is consisting of 7 villages. We reached there on 9 th afternoon. After the lunch and little rest, towards the evening we visited one of the villages and met the girls of 7 th , 8 th , 9 th and 10 th . They are basically farmers and many of them study in Govt and private run schools. Some of them are studying in Fathere’s English Medium School. Next day being Sunday after the Mass we visited two more villages. Some girls we met in the Church itself and others in their homes. We found the Parish priest and the people were very simple and welcoming.   Since there is no convent of sisters, the children have no idea about the religious life.  Mission Sunday 2024 Th e Daughters of St Paul visited three parishes in far flung periphery parishes of the Archdiocese of Secunderabad on 20 th October, 2024 to bring to the people there Bibles and other Religious books in Telugu and also religious articles for their use. The sisters went two by two to the parishes of Gajwel, Bayyaram and Alirajpet. The parish priest and the people welcomed them and picked up what they needed for their spiritual life. They returned home with much joy and satisfaction in their hearts for having gone out of their way to reach the Word of God to where people live. - Sr Claudette Miranda fsp                    

 Sr Joeyanna meets Pauline Cooperators in Secunderabad The Daughters of St Paul organized a meeting for the Pauline Cooperators on 17 th October, 2024 since Sr Joeyanna visited Secunderabad for her annual theological meeting. 10 of them responded to our invitation. She briefed them on the theme of the Jubilee Year, “Pilgrims of Hope”.  Sr Joeyanna began by talking about the theme and spoke of the three pillars – communion, participation and mission. She then focused on what category of people we usually don’t consider in our mission and asked us questions which got us thinking about our future planning.  She then showed us a glimpse of the documentary uploaded by the Daughters of St Paul on the Pilgrims of Hope which inspired the Pauline Cooperators. Seminar on Social Media Addiction and Psycho-Sexual Traps Every school faces a challenge in dealing with kids today. Given the advancement in technology and the effects it has on the young minds, dealing with them is indeed challenging. Keeping this aspect in mind and responding to the need of the hour, the Daughters of St Paul in collaboration with CRIST organised a seminar on Social Media Addiction and Psycho-Sexual Traps for the principals and teachers in Secunderabad on 21st October, 2024. 28 participants registered for the program. Sr Joeyanna D’souza fsp was the resource person and Mr Suresh, the principal of St Peter’s High School moderated the entire session. It was a three hour session with a tea-break in between. After the tea-break, the participants were divided into different groups and each group had a group discussion on the questions pertaining to the topic.
