Get –together of Pauline Cooperators

 

9th March 2025 was marked by Pope Francis to celebrate the Jubilee of the World day of Volunteering. So, we the Daughters of St Paul organized a two and half hours  get together for our Pauline Cooperators and friends. We began with a short procession to St Mary’s Basilica marking the Jubilee Year of “Pilgrims of Hope” and had a short prayer service before the Jubilee Cross inside the Basilica, led by Sr Claudette. After the high tea and snacks we had some games, and fun together. Winners were given a small gift as a token of appreciation. At the end of the Programme, Zinda Ferns the senior most Pauline Cooperator expressed her sentiments of gratitude to the Daughters of St Paul. In her long association with the sisters, she said, “that she has not found any other communities of sisters as friendly and simple as we are. She expressed her gratitude to all the sisters who have passed through this community”. At the end of the programme all were happy and thanked the Sisters for the programme.

Sr Joeyanna D’souza fsp was the resource person and Mr Suresh, the principal of St Peter’s High School moderated the entire session. It was a three hour session with a tea-break in between. Mission Sunday 2024

 Mission Sunday 2024 Th e Daughters of St Paul visited three parishes in far flung periphery parishes of the Archdiocese of Secunderabad on 20 th October, 2024 to bring to the people there Bibles and other Religious books in Telugu and also religious articles for their use. The sisters went two by two to the parishes of Gajwel, Bayyaram and Alirajpet. The parish priest and the people welcomed them and picked up what they needed for their spiritual life. They returned home with much joy and satisfaction in their hearts for having gone out of their way to reach the Word of God to where people live. - Sr Claudette Miranda fsp

  Vocation Work at Nalla Jerla in Andhra Pradesh. At the request of Fr Anthony a Cleritian priest   Srs Tara and Nancy set out for vocation work to Nalla Jerla a village situated in Eluru.   This parish is run by the Claretian fathers. This parish is consisting of 7 villages. We reached there on 9 th afternoon. After the lunch and little rest, towards the evening we visited one of the villages and met the girls of 7 th , 8 th , 9 th and 10 th . They are basically farmers and many of them study in Govt and private run schools. Some of them are studying in Fathere’s English Medium School. Next day being Sunday after the Mass we visited two more villages. Some girls we met in the Church itself and others in their homes. We found the Parish priest and the people were very simple and welcoming.   Since there is no convent of sisters, the children have no idea about the religious life.
